Ruth Zarfati
b.1928
Ruth Zarfati was born in Petach-Tikva and studied in the
Avni school of Arts. As of 1948 she joined the movement of
"New Horizons"- a very influential movement in the Israeli Art.
Zarfati's art is the innocent art of children and sophisticated sculptures
shown in many museums. Her work has been exhibited in the National
Museum, Tel-Aviv
Museum, The Museum of Petah-Tikva, the
Israeli pavilion at Expo '67
in Montreal
and more. Her art is also in important private collections. Her paintings are
mostly aquarelles and her sculptures are of wood, bronze and ceramics.
