Hagit Sternschuss

Hagit Sternschuss was born in Tel-Aviv. Hagit paints
differently from the accepted
Israeli art trend and has tried to distance
herself from the artistic local crowd.
Being the daughter of Ruth Zarfati and Moshe Sternschuss (both
prominent artists).
She grew up surrounded by art. In 1979 she
studied in Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem.
In 1980 She began studying in Camden Art Centre in London
and later moved to New York
to study at the Empire State College until 1982.
Hagit has exhibited in the Debel Gallery and
Ephrat Gallery.
As Dr. Gideon Ofrat has written of her
paintings: "danger zones which are nevertheless, indefinitely aesthetic.
We look and we are hurt."
